Our History
Professor Dr. Cheuchot Hangsasut is recognized as the father of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Thailand. He was the initiator of the Oral Surgery Club, with the first meeting held on February 17–18, 1978, at Manorom Christian Hospital, Chainat Province. The main objectives of establishing the club were as follows
- To promote unity and academic exchange among club members.
- To serve as consultants to general dentists encountering oral disease treatment challenges.
- To set guidelines for developing knowledge in oral surgery.
- To stimulate dentists interested in this field to become more active in learning.
- To represent the group in protecting the rights of club members.
- To create opportunities for the public to receive better oral surgery services.

Upgraded from a club to become "The Thai Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery" |

Received the royal grace to be under the Royal Patronage as "The Thai Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery under Royal Patronage", effective from September 1, 1999 (B.E. 2542). |
